FRESH PRODUCE • BIG ADVENTURES • HEALTHY HABITS THAT FEEL LIKE FUN
FOR THE GROWN-UPS

Build healthy habits without turning childhood into a lecture.

Market Veggies is designed to help families, teachers and community programs make fruits, vegetables, cooking and movement feel familiar, positive and fun.

OUR APPROACH

Health is bigger than a number on a scale.

Childhood obesity is a serious public-health concern, but children deserve health education that does not shame bodies or label foods as moral successes and failures. Market Veggies focuses on habits children can practice: eating a varied diet, trying produce, cooking with adults, drinking water, sleeping well and being physically active.

What we want kids to hear:
“Your body is growing. Food helps fuel it. Movement helps you use it. Learning to care for yourself can be an adventure.”

Characters give nutrition concepts a friendly face. Recipes invite hands-on learning. Activities make movement part of play rather than punishment for eating.

Food curiosityExposure, choice and participation can help unfamiliar foods feel less intimidating.
Kitchen confidenceAge-appropriate cooking tasks build practical skills and family connection.
Active playMovement can be games, dancing, walking, sports, playground time or anything appropriate that gets kids moving.
SCHOOLS • LIBRARIES • COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Turn story time into an experience.

Market Veggies can grow beyond the book with read-alouds, character food-fact stations, simple recipe demonstrations, produce-tasting activities and movement challenges.
